on it's Board as Officers or Directors. If anyone is interested in applying for a position on the Board, down load the application on the information page and send it in to the address on the form. The Board meets at least 4 times a year and also runs
3 tournaments a year. Yearly elections are held in July at its annual meeting.

 Helen Fitch passes.  Oklahoma Hall of Fame member and a long time bowler in the Tulsa
area died on November 8, 2011, Services are at Floral Haven(Tulsa) at 12:30 pm
Friday the 11th.

The Oklahoma State USBC Association has selected Two new members for it's 2011
Hall of Fame Inductions:
             
  Kathern "Kat" Hendricks (OKC)     and     Tonya Bennett (TULSA)
                   
                                          
Kat is currently Vice President of the State USBC Association and is honored for over 40 years of  dedication and service to the OWBA, USBC, and the OCWBA

Tonya is selected for her outstanding bowling ability both in league play and her success in a variety of
tournaments through out the area.

The Oklahoma City Hall of Fame and Museum has just been awarded a
a $1,000 contribution from the Oklahoma State USBC Association.
This money will enable the Museum to enhance the State of Oklahoma exhibits within the Museum, both the
State's Hall of Fame and any other city or county associations that have their own Hall of Fames.
THANK YOU  to the State USBC Association and to all the bowlers who participation in the special projects at the
State annual Championship Tournaments.

If Any City, County, or Local Association that has a Bowling Hall of Fame would send us a list of
its members, we will proudly display it. Note. we have Tulsa, Sapulpa, Enid, Okla. State, and OKC.

Also,  we are always looking for Artifacts and Bowling Memorabilia to showcase in the Museum.
If you have any old bowling balls, bowling pins, patches or pins, posters, photographs, you name it, if it says "History" we'd like to have it.
If what you have is part of your personal keepsakes, you need not worry, We will scan any photographs and return them to you. We will also Photostat any paper items and return the original to you.

Bring or send your items to the OKC and State Association offices at 3633 N W 21st Street in
Oklahoma City, 73107 and take the opportunity to tour the Hall of Fame and Museum.

Oklahoma's Town Crier with Proclamation from the Governor declaring July 31 - August 7, 2010 as
"bowling week" in the State of Oklahoma 

On World record Day August 7, the bowling industry set a world record of most games bowled in a single day when
923,948 games were rolled in a 24 hour period.

 State Association Yearly Awards 2010
The Oklahoma State USBC Association presented it Annual Association Awards Saturday  July 31, 2010 at it's dinner banquet at the State Bowling Jamboree in Tulsa Ok.  This years winners were:  Trailblazer Award,   Steve Inasy and Wayne Bolin for recognition of their implementation and continued support of High Scholl bowling across the State of Oklahoma; Volunteer of the Year Award, Pat Navel for the timeless hours she gives working for the sport of bowling and her recent efforts on maintaining and recording the History of Bowling in Oklahoma;  Association of the Year, The Greater OKC Area USBC Association, For it's support of the State Tournaments, Local initiative programs, maintaining membership quotas' and timely award processing. The State USBC President Kent Scott awarded the President's Choice Award to Jim and Peggy Haynes in reward for their outstanding and dedicated service not only to bowling but their heart felt love for the game and the people who participate in the sport be it in League Play  or open Play, Seniors, High School or Youth, bowlers with exceptional talent or those with special needs. Congratulations All

Complete and mail or fax application and information for the 2011 awards by May 31
per the instructions on the application.
Awards are presented each year at the State Bowling Jamboree which will be held in Lawton, Ok. the first of August, 2011.
