O. Kent Scott President
Kent was re-elected as the Oklahoma State USBC President and will serve in that position until 2010. He has been a member of the state ABC board since 1998, holding several offices including President. He has also served on the Enid Board of Directors since 1988, holding several offices including President from 2001 to the merger in 2006. He served as Chairman of the Merger committee and was elected as the first and current President of the Greater Enid Association. Before moving to Enid, he also served on the Woodward Association from 1983-1985. Kent has been married to Bobbie for 20 years and has 5 children and 9 grandchildren. He has worked for Great Plains Coca Cola in Enid for 17 years. His claim to "bowling fame" is that he has bowled 4 - 300 games and 2- 800 series!
Kent's goal as a member of the State Board of Directors is to: "improve the impression of bowling as a sport." "This is the only sport that a family of all ages can participate on the same team or as an individual in an organized and competitive atmosphere. It doesn't matter what the skill level a bowler has; the way the game's handicap system is set up anyone can be competitive, even with the best bowlers. That truly is the hidden benefit that the sport has. John Q. Public doesn't understand that this sport is a people's game"
